Random Lines

This is an artistic half-toning method that creates an image by a random polyonal line that is placed in a way that dark regions are visited more often than lighter regions. In a post-processing step the lines are smoothed and the line-thickness is computed. Postscript code is generated and finally rasterized. A random seed point with an appropriate random search function nearly always fills all regions in an image.

Below you find some results that I applied to images of known persons, by clicking on them you will get larger versions.
