how can i assign the texture with transparency to the plant models in 3ds max?
in the material editor is the diffuse color line the one for the texture. so click on the button to the right wich says none. the map/materials browser will open and from the list select bitmap since we want our texture file to be there. now select the *.png (or *.tif) file for the plant texture in the open file window. for textures with transparency (e.g. leaf) do the same steps for the opacity color line. use the same *.png (or *.tif) texture file and set alpha on the mono channel output.
