| how can i assign the texture with transparency to the plant models in 3ds max? |
in the material editor is the diffuse color line the one for the texture. so click on the button to the right wich says none. the map/materials browser will open and from the list select bitmap since we want our texture file to be there.
now select the *.png (or *.tif) file for the plant texture in the open file window.
for textures with transparency (e.g. leaf) do the same steps for the opacity color line. use the same *.png (or *.tif) texture file and set alpha on the mono channel output. |
